ABOUT US

  • A small group of military veterans that are local to Colorado Springs, CO. We believe that anyone who wishes it, should have access to mushrooms, at an affordable price.

    That people can learn how to connect with each other in new ways. That people may find a way to heal their issues, whatever they may be. That people may transcend the barriers in life that may hold them back from whatever they set out to do. This is exactly who we are and what we stand for.

    Our business is organized around high-grade mushroom grow kits.

    We have over 60 strains of mycelium. Currently we have a rotation of approximately 12-15 active mycelium grows, so that we may offer our customers a premium, ready-to-grow, and hassle-free product. All of our strains are available pre-injected on to sterilized rye (on request), or as liquid culture in a syringe, ready to inject.

    We will work with you to ensure your success in the form of aftersales, direct customer support. We are always accessible via our email and social media platforms. We also include growing instructions with all of our products. All of this, free of charge. It is our pleasure to support you.

  • In 2022, Colorado passed the Natural Medicine Health Act under Prop 122 that outlines what may and may not be offered. Respectively, Colorado Revised Statute 170, Title 12, Section 109.

    We operate under a business license from the State of Colorado as retail business.

    Please trust that we follow the law without exception so that we may present to you, the customer, a legal avenue to pursue your mushroom growing ambitions. We do not sell medicinal mushrooms or products containing psilocybin, to anyone.

  • We are very proud of our product and support so if your grow becomes contaminated, all you need to do is take a picture and send it to us. We will work with you to rectify the issue, walk you through the process and if the problem was ours, to replace your mycelium, free of charge. We can’t state enough how much we want our customers to succeed.

    We offer in-person, free delivery to Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Canon City, Woodland Park, Castle Rock and in-person free delivery once a week to the Lower Denver Metropolitan area.

    Due to varying legislations in other states, we only offer delivery inside of the State of Colorado.

At High Mountain Mycology, we are not here to make a fortune. That said, we do not compromise on quality. No cheap grow bags. We use plastic tubs so that the moisture content is consistent and that can be reused as many times as they can be cleaned and sterilized. No cheap bird seed or popcorn as substrate. We use locally procured rye berries as a food source, which for many strains, is the gold standard. This kit is an affordable step to starting your own mushroom grows. Here, we have maximized the quality, and minimized the price. This kit includes:

  • A 30 quart plastic tub and matching lid. The tub is pre-drilled with 6 holes to allow Free Air Exchange.

  • A package of 6 micropore 2mm thick adhesive circles to place over the pre-drilled holes. These provide a seal to the holes in the tub and allow the filtering and exchange of O2/CO2, with minimal risk of contamination.

  • A measured bag of substrate. The approximate amount of coco coir, vermiculite, and gypsum for this size grow.

  • An inoculated jar of mycelium with rye berries. This is the step in the process where many people make mistakes. We inject this for you in a completely sterile environment, to drive the margin of error down to zero. We also back up our jars with customer service, and in case of mistakes (ours or yours), full replacement.

  • A bottle spray nozzle. All you need to provide is your own bottle of 70% Isopropyl Alcohol. Sterility is your main concern to avoid contamination and infections.

  • 1 pair of exam gloves. Sterility is key to a mushroom grow so we have a provide a set of gloves free of cost.
